How Time Flies!

Happy November!

NOVEMBER! How did that happen?! It is hard to fathom that Thanksgiving is 2 weeks away. What are you grateful for this year?! I know that I am grateful for the continued support from my community…YOU! I continue to grow thanks to your referrals and repeat business. SLPTNYC exists because of your unwavering support. Thank you.

What’s New:

I shared last newsletter that I was going to be speaking at a pre-marathon brunch for the charity, Still I Run. It was one of the proudest moments I have had since starting my business in 2021.

The mission of Still I Run is to promote running for mental health, end the stigma that those who live with mental health issues face, create community, and raise overall awareness surrounding mental health. They do this with some really wonderful programs!! What started as a Facebook page/group and has grown to a nationally recognized nonprofit. AMAZING!

Through my networking, I was connected by a friend to Still I Run. After some conversations, I was invited to speak at their marathon team brunch event. They had a team from across the country who not only trained but also fundraised 33k to support the initiative of the foundation. I shared, for the first time publicly, my mental health journey, my running for mental health journey, and my 2018 NYC marathon experience. I ended with a guided meditation that took the runners from the Verrazzano Bridge to the finish line in Central Park. There wasn't a dry eye in the room when I was finished. If you have run or spectated the marathon, you know the emotion that surrounds that day!

To be in a room full of people who have been through similar experiences and , despite the odds, are doing epic things was inspiring. To be able to support them as a leader and a fellow warrior made my heart full. This is the ultimate definition of success.

If you know of anyone who would benefit from their work, I'd love to share more info and connect you! Or you can find them here:

Women in Business Spotlight:

I would love to introduce the wonderful Brigitte Zeitlin, MPH, RD, CDN. She is a celebrated nutritionist here in NYC. I met Brigitte through my networking efforts. It was love at first meeting. Over the last two months, she has personally helped me get back on track with my health goals. Why I chose to work with Brigitte is her science-backed, no restrictions, no calorie counting, eat real food, and love yourself radically approach to care. I can honestly say, she has changed my life. I am down almost 20 pounds, sleeping better, taking much better care of myself, and feeling less stressed. The best part is that the changes are sustainable. Running a business is freaking hard. If you are running on empty (which I was), it makes it 10 times harder. I am so grateful to be feeling better and I know she can have an impact on you too if you are looking to make some changes around nutrition. You can find more about her here:

She has an upcoming masterclass, Festive and Focused, 11/17, on how to enjoy all the holiday treats but still stay focused on health. I will see you there!

SLPTNYC in the media:

I was featured last week in an article for Parade magazine. Obviously, I believe that finding a PT is important. In this article I get to share some insights on how to find a PT that is right for you. Have a read!
